Our office is positioned in a prominent position, just outside of York’s city walls. Bootham is the beating heart of York, a busy Georgian thoroughfare close to York Minster and the railway station, and home to the city’s top independent schools. Our use of new technologies enables us to cover a broad area with reliability, providing a comprehensive service to our landlords and tenants.

With over a decade of experience within short- and long-term lettings across York, Ryedale and beyond, Jennifer heads up our lettings department. Jennifer divides her time between our York office and her Mobile Command Centre making herself reassuringly available to landlords outside normal office hours. Jennifer is also the ARLA Regional Executive for Yorkshire, playing a vital role in representing property agents across the region, providing guidance on industry standards, regulations, and best practices and promoting professional development within the industry.

Richard joins our team after ten years at Foxtons where he worked in the London Head Office focusing on Business Development and Lettings. He has made the move north from London to North Yorkshire to set up home in Selby with his fiancée. His passion for cricket will continue unabated in a county which has produced a conveyor belt of talent stretching over more than a century. Richard’s considerable experience with Foxtons, London’s leading agent, is bringing dynamism to the lettings team at Blenkin & Co, a growing business with great ambition.

Having spent her whole career in Residential Lettings, Amy is a qualified team leader with a wealth of experience in helping landlords navigate property management and compliance challenges. Amy is a vital part of the Blenkin & Co team, and oversees property maintenance, safety certificates, tenancy compliance, tenancy renewals and client accounting, ensuring that our managed properties remain safe and compliant amidst ever-changing legislation.

A long term York resident, Sarah brings with her considerable authority and experience when it comes to conducting viewings in the city, country and coast. A writer and columnist, she is the daughter of North Yorkshire bobby and author Peter Walker who, under the pseudonym Nicholas Rhea, wrote the successful Constable series of books which inspired the TV series Heartbeat. Sarah followed in her father’s footsteps when she took over the column after his death in 2017. Now known as The Countryman’s Daughter, Sarah’s column appears weekly in the Darlington & Stockton Times and the Ryedale Gazette and Herald.
